Meet our staff

Hi! I'm Eris Hembree(she/fae). I am the founder and managing editor here at Cicada Shell Press. I am currently in my senior year of college studying creative writing at IUI. I am a sapphic transfem, who grew up in the heart of the deep south, and those experiences have heavily shaped my writing as both a poet, and fiction writer. I enjoy all genres by I have a particular weakness for sci-fi, fantasy, and horror stories.
